School, Sorting, Smiling: My September
Subtitles are lame (but informative!). Just kidding! Hope you have fun reading this :)
Hey!
I was wondering why the broom was late to my math class today, but then I realize it over-swept!
Welcome back to my newsletter. Hope you had a nice September.
For those who don't know, I'm Nina Khera. You may have met me during a meeting, or at the latest networking event in Boston. I'm a 17-year-old human longevity researcher who's working on projects in the field of Alzheimer’s, longevity, and brain aging!
This month I’ve started college, worked on Biotein, and worked on a project focused on Alzheimer’s!

Biotein
We’ve been working with a vendor to organize final things for the upcoming study, and have also been applying to funding opportunities and organizing our lateral flow test development!

Mindsets and Philosophy
Here are some thoughts I’ve been having!
I wonder how to make good long-lasting friends. I’ve been starting college and it’s really hard to tell which friends are situational and which will last a long time. And I’m not sure what to aspire towards. Part of me believes that consistent contact and going through things together helps, and also just being an open and kind person who is curious about others but still has self-confidence and is happy without friends too would be ideal - but I’m still experimenting! I’ve made some good friends though, and I think a lot of it is consistent contact/doing things together.
I’ve realized recently how absolutely mind-blowing math is. It’s an entire language - a world that creates worlds in of itself. It is one of the most fascinating things I have studied - it is the basis for so much and so much builds off of it! My math class is super intensive but it’s very worth it to me, I’m enjoying this stuff so much. I’m also coding a ton, which definitely adds to the world-building aspect!
